Can I get a flower critique?

Since I am on a tight budget, I am using silks and arranging them myself. We are renting a rather large wedding pole tent and the lighting will be dimmer than in the picture. I just wanted to see if I could get a helpful critique from the fantastic "wedding" community! Am I off to a good start? I obviously haven't done the final "tweaking" but I have 3 height variations that I am using and I have made one of each so far. (28", 20" %26amp; 8.5")

My colors are peach, pink, yellow and white. Also, I noticed that I forgot to tuck the mini-light strand battery box underneath the ivy for the picture. Once buried in ivy, it is completely hidden.)

If you can offer any helpful suggestions, I would appreciate it. I have never done flower arrangements before, so I need some insightful tips! Or if they look okay so far, I appreciate knowing that too.

If you plan to completely bash them-don't bother...move on to another question.

Can I get a flower critique?
Yes, they're pretty. Good work. My personal opinion would cause me to suggest that you use a white candle or a yellow one if it's going to be next to a pink flower, unless you can match the colors of the flower and the candle exactly. I don't think the peach and pink do well next to one another when they aren't the same item. Peach flowers next to pink ones look just fine, truly. With the candle, it doesn't carry over for some reason. I'm not even quite sure why; it just looks a little mismatched. Honestly, using all white candles would be simplest, because they could then be placed with any of the colored flowers. They would also glow nicely, if the lighting is going to be dim. I think you have good ideas for how to make things nice on a budget. Keep up the good work. Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
Reply:I suggest visiting weddinglenox.com and post your request. Their matching system http://www.weddinglenox.com/f-membersign... will match you up with local vendors with pricing you specified. I tried it and have good result as I only recieved response from vendors according to my request.

One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that's too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out.

The sites I provide above have a easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page plus, you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. That save me lots of time to locate the best vendors with the right price.
Reply:they are very nice, you did well. however, i would add a few more flowers to each, there seems to be a lot of green

also, how many people will be seated at each table?, this amount of flowers would be best if placed on a table to seat 6 or more, any fewer and it would crowd the table. also, sit at the table and have others sit around you, do the peices obstruct your veiw and make it hard to talk across the table? if so, you may want to do something to raise them
Reply:Wow!! Those are very pretty!!! I think you did an awesome job!!
Reply:Very nice. The yellow one has too much green.
Reply:very nice!
Reply:I think they look great.

My only suggestion...in the yellow one, add some more flowers? It looks a little barren on the side you have pictured as it looks like all the flowers are towards the top. I dont htink the guests will be able to see the top of the yellow one, so maybe just more some of the flowers to the sides!

Looks great!
Reply:That sounds very nice!
Reply:Very pretty.
Reply:I love the one on the table. The one with the yellow flowers (I guess the 20") looks like it needs a couple more flowers; maybe something small. The tallest one is really pretty too. Nice job for a first time. I also used silks at my wedding except for the bouquets.
Reply:I think they are pretty. My critique is that there seems to be just a little too much greenery. I would add more flowers to all of them. And perhaps a softer pink would be in order. The other answerer is also right about pink and peach not quite going well together. But your arranging and scale seems perfect.
Reply:Too much green. Add more flowers :) Good job though.
Reply:I think you did a pretty nice job
